Best Birthday Present

Wow! I got the best birthday present today! I had an afternoon appointment with my surgeon and got the "all clear" results from my latest CT Scan. Hallelujah! What a great relief! I had the scan two weeks ago and have been waiting patiently. Always a bit of a challenge! This is the second clear scan since my RFA procedure in March. Looking good! Interestingly... my liver resection surgery was three years ago on my 47th birthday. Must be my lucky day!
So much to be thankful for this week...

Blessings... Rob; in Vancouver

Hi Rob!

I just wanted to wish you a very Happy Birthday and an even more enthusiastic CONGRATULATIONS on your test results!!
I pray things are well back in Vancouver and I hope your birthday was spent with lots of joy and cheer!
Morgan introduced me to your blog a few months ago and I have found it very informative as well as encouraging. The strength you displayed through this trying process is inspirational and I will be passing your blog onto as many people as I can.
Things in Japan are exciting and it seems that everywhere I look there is something unique and fascinating that catches my eye. It is an incredibly amazing culture here and I am blessed to experience it. Also, my dream of playing music here is starting to come into fruition as my good friend, Lance, and I have an interview lined up in the next couple of days. Also, I know that being in Japan is proving to be difficult for Morgan but if you could offer her a few words of encouragement it would be greatly appreciated.
I hope this reaches you well (as half of the words on the webpage are in Japanese, including the "send" button), but in the event it doesn't, I will try to send you another message via email.
Happy Birthday again and I am ecstatic to hear of your good health!

Sincerely from Japan,

Justin

I was about to say that I happened onto your blog by chance this evening... but on second thought, I'm sure God directed me here. The most recent entry appears to have been a year ago though, so I don't know if you're continuing to monitor comments. I sure hope so because I really want you to know that your entries have been such a blessing and encouragement to me! I live in the Fraser Valley, just beyond Vancouver.

My husband retired from ministry five years ago. Three-and-a-half years ago I was diagnosed with uterine cancer and then two years after that, just when I was hoping for clear sailing towards the five-year-clear mark, ended up with a basal cell carcinoma. In the grand scheme of things my cancers have been relatively minor and I AM grateful for God's sustanence, nevertheless I find my soul doesn't often respond with appropriate thankfulness. For no reason that I can put my finger on, my spirit sags far too often. I would like to read more of your writings... and find out how you've been faring during this past year. Have you moved on to a different website, or simply finished with this one? -- Careann: chickaddd2007@yahoo.ca
